How It Works

The 30-second tick & mosquito routine

Take it once in the morning. There's no spray to carry and nothing to remember at lunch.

Step 1

Fill the dropper

Five seconds

Squeeze the bulb and let it fill to the line. One full dropper is 1 mL, a full day's dose.

Step 2

Add it to your drink

Coffee · Tea · Juice · Water

The maple syrup makes it taste lightly sweet. Most people don't notice it in coffee.

Step 3

Head outside

Good for the day*

Fish, hunt, hike or work the yard. Take it again tomorrow morning.

What's In It

Five herbs. Pure maple syrup. That's it.

The herbs are cold-pressed in small batches so their natural oils stay strong, then blended into maple syrup.

Oregano

The pizza herb. Strong, warm and peppery.

Thyme

A woodsy kitchen herb with tiny leaves.

Geranium

Fragrant, rose-scented leaves.

Lemongrass

A tall grass with a bright citrus smell.

Peppermint

Cool, fresh and familiar.

Maple syrup

Pure syrup carries the herbs and sweetens the taste.

John's Advice

Use it as part of a 3-layer tick plan

Nothing stops every tick. The people who rarely get bitten use more than one layer.

Layer 1 · Inside

Morning drops

One dropper of John's Drops in your coffee before you leave the house.

Layer 2 · Outside

Treated clothes

Permethrin on boots, socks and pants keeps ticks from crawling up from the grass.

Layer 3 · After

The tick check

Two minutes when you get home. See John's 4-step tick check.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does it taste like?
Lightly sweet from the maple syrup, with a mild herb flavor. In coffee or tea most people don't notice it.
How much do I take?
One full dropper (1 mL) each morning. You don't need to take more during the day.
Does it replace bug spray?
For a walk to the dock or an evening in the yard, many people use the drops by themselves. For deep woods and tall grass in peak tick season, John recommends adding permethrin-treated clothing and always doing a tick check.
Can kids take it?
Talk to your child's doctor first. [Confirm the manufacturer's guidance for children.]
How long does a bottle last?
At one dropper a day, a bottle lasts about [30] days. The 3- and 6-bottle bundles cover a full season.
What if it doesn't work for me?
